Overview of Meeting: This was an introductory meeting. The leaders of the club talked about the club, and every club member introduced themselves and their areas of medical/biological interest. The slides from today's meeting are below.

Important Announcements: We are holding an officer election meeting next Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in room B104 after school. If anyone is interested in running for Secretary, Treasurer, or Public Relations, then be sure to come to the meeting. Our next meeting for all club members will be September 25, 2018. The activity will either be a group lab or a speaker--more information to follow.

Overview of Meeting: At our September 25 meeting we discussed TOTS (Trick or Treat Streat), which is an annual event held at Legacy High School from 5pm-9pm on October 27. Attatched is a form for those who wish to sign up to volunteer or bring something for the event (i.e. candy, lab coat, etc.). In this meeting, we also discussed potential plans for the year, the first of which will be elaborated upon in Important Announcements. No slides were used during this meeting.

Important Announcements: Next Tuesday, October 2, we will be having our very first speaker come in and present about their line of work--microbiology in the laboratory setting. Be sure to come!

Overview of Meeting: Unfortunately, the planned speaker had to cancel. However, we still had a very productive Scrubs Club meeting. During this meeting, we watched thirty minutes of Gene Doctors, a video detailing CRISPR and its applications in certain diseases. Following watching the videos, we had a seminar about the bioethics and capabilities/limitations of CRISPR. No slides were used during this meeting.

Important Announcements: On October 30, we will be having a guest speaker that is from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in room B104 after ASP. All members, new or old, are welcome. On November 28, there will be a guest forensics speaker during periods 2 and 5 in room A107 and period 8 in A216.
